Their main disadvantage is the high cost of the aluminum material and the resulting higher manufacturing costs. In terms of cost-effectiveness, solid wood windows and standard thermal-break aluminum alloy windows are generally not the first choice; instead, uPVC (steel-reinforced plastic) windows are the most widely used option. Priced between 150 and 600 yuan per square meter-a range acceptable to most consumers-their value for money is a key factor driving their popularity. Thermal-break aluminum alloy is a newer material that has emerged in recent years; it rivals uPVC in performance while offering superior durability. Priced between 400 and 1,200 yuan per square meter, it is typically used for villas and high-end sunrooms. Finally, only a small number of trend-conscious consumers opt for frameless windows, which generally cost between 360 and 700 yuan per square meter.
