Insulated Casement Door

An insulated casement door is a side-hinged door system designed to swing open like a traditional door while integrating thermal insulation performance into its frame and leaf structure. Unlike sliding doors or fixed panels, it opens around a vertical hinge axis, creating a full-width opening access. This type of door is commonly used for exterior entrances, balcony connections and rooms that require stable sealing.

The door frame and leaf profile adopt thermally broken aluminum construction, in which interior and exterior aluminum sections are separated and connected through engineered thermal break profiles. This structure reduces direct heat transfer between the indoor and outdoor sides, helping maintain a more stable indoor temperature. It also supports lower energy consumption in heating and cooling seasons.

A reliable insulated casement door usually includes multiple sealing gaskets along the door leaf, frame, corner joints and locking areas. These seals help block air flow, rainwater, dust and outdoor noise from entering the interior. When the door is closed, the gaskets form continuous pressure contact points around the entire perimeter.

Because the door swings open and closes with pressure against the frame, it can achieve consistent compression around the sealing perimeter. This makes it suitable for exterior openings exposed to wind, rain and temperature changes.
